Gianpiero Evola holds a PhD in Building Physics, and is currently Associate Professor at the University of Catania, where he teaches “Building Physics” and “Energy efficient buildings and technical systems design” for the Master Degree in Building Engineering and Architecture. His research activity is focused on the modeling of the dynamic energy performance of buildings and urban areas, and the processes of combined dynamic heat and moisture transport (HAMT) in the building envelope. He also worked on the definition of typical weather files (TMY) for the province of Catania. He is Technical Manager of the H2020 Project “e-SAFE”, and member of the Board of IBPSA-Italy. He is author of over 80 communications at national or international congresses, over 50 publications in international scientific journals, 6 chapters of books on the energy of buildings and urban spaces.
