Postdoctoral researcher
Earned her Master’s Degree in Building Engineering-Architecture UE with a grade of 110/110 summa cum laude at “Sapienza” University of Rome in October 2018, with a Thesis in Applied Physics and Urban Planning focused on the evaluation and mitigation of noise pollution from railway traffic in urban context. In 2022 achieved a Ph.D. in “Energy and Sustainable Development” (XXXIV Cycle), defending a Thesis entitled “Ageing effects on the properties of monolithic silica aerogel: development of a measurement methodology for colour rendering and of a laboratory process for accelerated ageing”. In 2021 was involved as Research Associate at the Departments of Chemistry and Mechanical Engineering of Union College (Schenectady, NY, USA), collaborating in experimental research activity at Aerogel Lab. From March 2022 Post-Doc Research Fellow at DIAEE (Department of Aerospace Electrical and Energy Engineering) of “Sapienza” University of Rome. She is an Acoustic Technician, Licensed Civil and Environmental Engineer (2019) and Licensed Architect (2018). Her research activity concerns architectural and environmental acoustics, thermal and optical behavior of transparent solutions for windows, sustainable applications from waste materials and energy performance of buildings, thermophysical properties of materials, CFD modelling, LCA analysis and lighting engineering. As Visiting lecturer of Structures and of Diagnosis of Damages and Specific Structural Issues at the Departments of Civil and Environmental Engineering of University of Perugia is interested in mechanical behaviour of materials and systems.
